Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik become permanent hosts of Jeopardy's 1984 revival

Jeopardy has just found not one but two permanent hosts. Johnny Gilbert should return as the announcer. The two permanent hosts are 74-time champion Ken Jennings from the Trebek era in 2004 (on the regular syndicated series) and Mayim Bialik (on the ABC primetime specials), who stars in Call Me Kat for Fox. This post believes Bialik to fill in for Jennings on the syndicated version for at least two weeks later in the season.

Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune will be on Pluto TV August 1

Jeopardy and the syndicated version of Wheel of Fortune will be coming to Pluto TV on August 1. Here are my predictions for the new channels.

- Both the Jeopardy and Wheel channels should have episodes that have a full credit roll.
- The Jeopardy episodes are from Alex Trebek's era hosting the show, including 32 season premieres.
- The Wheel episodes are from the syndicated version, aired between seasons 34 and 37.

These two new Pluto TV channels can be launched to celebrate the 40th anniversary of syndicated Wheel which premieres in September.

Oprah Winfrey's dad dies in Nashville

As the world mourns the passing of Vernon Winfrey, we take a moment to remember the life and legacy of a man who played a pivotal role in shaping one of the most influential women in history, Oprah Winfrey. While many may know Oprah as a media mogul and philanthropist, it is important to recognize the profound impact her father had on her journey to success.

Vernon Winfrey, who passed away at the age of 88, was more than just a father to Oprah - he was a source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. Growing up in rural Mississippi, Vernon instilled in his daughter the values of hard work, perseverance, and empathy. His influence can be seen in every aspect of Oprah's life and career, from her humble beginnings as a local news anchor to becoming one of the most powerful women in the world.

Watching The Oprah Winfrey Show as a young person, I was always struck by the genuine connection between Oprah and her audience. Little did I know that behind the scenes, her father was instrumental in nurturing that same spirit of authenticity and compassion within her. Through his guidance and support, Vernon helped shape Oprah into the empathetic and compassionate leader she is today.

It is often said that behind every successful person is a strong support system. In Oprah's case, her father was not only her rock but also an inspiration for millions around the globe. His quiet strength and unwavering belief in his daughter's potential served as a beacon of hope for those facing their own challenges.

In honoring Vernon Winfrey's memory, we are reminded of the profound impact that parents have on their children's lives. His legacy lives on through Oprah's work and continues to inspire countless individuals to strive for greatness despite adversity.

As we bid farewell to Vernon Winfrey, let us celebrate his life by embodying his teachings of resilience, kindness, and love. May we carry forward his legacy by being beacons of hope for those around us.

In conclusion, while we mourn the loss of an extraordinary man, let us also rejoice in the beautiful legacy he leaves behind.
