Libby to leave JTV; Lisa R. to leave QVC

Libby Floyd, from Shop at Home Network and ShopHQ, will leave Jewelry Television on November 13. She was a great host on Shop at Home, ShopHQ, and JTV themselves, but after Libby's departure from JTV, she will move back to her husband and cats.

Lisa Robertson will soon be leaving QVC after Libby's departure from JTV. I found out that Libby is leaving JTV. She will leave JTV after Kristen Keech's departure from the network.

Diane Gilman returns to HSN on 11/22

HSN has had Diane Gilman as a fashion guest for over 20 years. She is "the queen of jeans" according to HSN, which has aired Gilman's show called Diane Gilman Fashions. She created the DG2 Super Stretch jeans recently, which are nice for women to wear.

Diane had a great Today's Special visit, starting on the night of September 20. Her Today's Special visit lasted all day on September 21, and HSN took a break from its live programming for not one but two hours that day to air a rerun of the September 20 show in its entirety.

Future DVD releases of game show classics

There should be new-to-DVD episodes of Family Feud, Password, the CBS daytime Price is Right, and Match Game. If so, these new-to-DVD episodes will be available as part of new game show DVD box sets that Mill Creek Entertainment will create in the future.

• All new-to-DVD episodes of Feud, Password, CBS daytime Price, and Match Game should have a full credit roll.
• Mill Creek Entertainment will release box sets of both Jim Perry versions of Sale of the Century, both versions of Scrabble (which first aired on NBC), Password Plus, Super Password, Trivia Trap, Child's Play, Card Sharks starring Jim Perry himself, Bob Eubanks, and Bill Rafferty, Blockbusters starring Bill Cullen and Bill Rafferty, and newer Family Feud DVD box sets featuring new-to-DVD episodes of the original Richard Dawson era of Feud, as well as both Ray Combs versions that first aired from 1988-1994. The Combs versions of Feud should also be new-to-DVD. Other classic Goodson-Todman and Mark Goodson Productions game shows should also be new-to DVD as well.

In addition to Mill Creek Entertainment releasing new game show DVD box sets of Goodson-Todman/Mark Goodson Productions game shows, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment should release DVD box sets of Jeopardy! from the Alex Trebek era, featuring the same five episodes from the show's very first DVD (titled An Inside Look at America's Favorite Quiz Show) that was released in 2005, plus many more classic episodes from the 1980s and 90s (including the ones featured on the Jeopardy! Flashback section of Crackle and many with a full credit roll). In addition to new-to-DVD Jeopardy! episodes, the nighttime syndicated version of Wheel of Fortune should also be coming to DVD. All episodes of America's Game, which will be new-to-DVD, should have a full credit roll. The first DVD box set of Wheel should have 32 episodes on 4 discs in honor of its 32nd season on the air, and the first DVD box set of Jeopardy! should have 31 episodes on 4 discs in honor of its 31st season on the air. All other Wheel and Jeopardy! DVD box sets should have 30 episodes on 4 discs; each episode on each subsequent DVD box set should have a full credit roll. All the episodes on the first Jeopardy! DVD box set should have a full credit roll, except for all the episodes in the first Jeopardy! DVD from 2005.

HSN to resume airing midnight hour reruns tomorrow

Early this morning, instead of showing a partial rerun of a primetime host's shift from last night, HSN continued live programming with Shannon Fox and her guests Alexandra Baker and Tim Wilkins. The network will resume airing daily reruns of the midnight hour tomorrow at 5am ET with a rerun of Callie Northagen's shift from tonight.

Game show end credits on the Internet

This post is about game show end credits on YouTube and other websites that have full episodes of game shows. A credits sequence varies from episode to episode.

Jim Perry's nighttime syndicated version of Sale of the Century had a full credit roll for most of the first season. GSN airings of the episodes aired from February 6 through early May 1985 went straight to the list of sponsors after the final commercial break. In October 2014, the network resumed showing a full credit roll after the final commercial break on GSN airings of nighttime Sale. I have a compilation of credits sequences from nighttime Sale which first aired from January 7-25, 1985 and January 29-February 1, 1985, all in one video, with absolutely no intent of copyright infringement.

On the GSN airings of the January 7-25, 1985 episodes of nighttime Sale, after the copyright card, the network leaves in the contestant and ticket plugs before the full credit roll. All nighttime Sale episodes that first aired on the aforementioned dates had no fee plugs before the credits. On GSN airings of nighttime Sale episodes that first aired in most of February, March, and April 1985, after Jim signs off, the fee plugs (from reruns in the summer of 1985) are replaced by a commercial break, since the episodes that first aired in those three months of 1985 are the rerun versions from the summer of that year, because there had only been fee plugs in the summer reruns.

Most credits sequences end before the credit crunch, but on a GSN airing of the January 29, 1985 episode, the credits were fully uncrunched. GSN skipped the January 28, 1985 episode. Here's a link to the compilation.

Nighttime Sale of the Century credits compilation from January 7-25 and January 29-February 1, 1985

Some Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! credits sequences that I have were originally on YouTube but I relocated them to Dailymotion to avoid copyright trouble by Sony, which controlled Jeopardy! almost exclusively in a summer 2014 purge, according to a comment by David Downs in my video about copyright trouble by Sony.

Trebek and Gilbert should renew J! contract forever (until they die)

Alex Trebek should continue to host his version of Jeopardy! until he dies in the future. When Trebek dies in the future, he will be replaced by another host, with Johnny Gilbert returning as announcer (unless he dies in the future).

When Johnny Gilbert himself dies in the future, he will be replaced by Wheel of Fortune announcer Jim Thornton, and Jim Thornton himself will announce both Wheel and Jeopardy!, both produced by Sony Pictures Television and distributed by CBS Television Distribution (which also distributes Dr. Phil).

Jeopardy! should not have a rotation of guest announcers like Wheel did.

WTSP moves weekday J! reruns to 3:30 and LMAD to 10:00

Earlier this October, WTSP channel 10 moved weekday reruns of Jeopardy! to 3:30 in the afternoon, with Inside Edition moving to 3:00.

If you like Let's Make a Deal and used to watch it at 3:00 weekdays on channel 10, the station moved the show to 10:00 in the morning earlier this October, before The Price is Right starring Drew Carey, to allow the station to air both CBS daytime game shows in the morning.
