Art Ferguson, whose nickname was Charlie Tuna, died of liver cancer in his sleep at his home in Tarzania, California at the age of 71 on February 19, 2016.
He was a disc jockey, radio voice, and announcer on the 1984-90 and 1993 versions of Scrabble. Both of these versions starred Chuck Woolery. Other game shows that Charlie Tuna announced on were Dick Clark's $25,000 Pyramid and $100,000 Pyramid, John Davidson's Time Machine, the 1983 revival of Battlestars, The Quiz Kids Challenge, and Scattergories.
I believe Charlie Tuna was the nickname of Ferguson.
