Mark Corwin, Wheel director, dies

On July 25, 2013, Wheel of Fortune director Mark Corwin died of cancer at the age of 65. He was also the associate director of a number of daytime and nighttime Wheel episodes taped at the NBC Studios in Burbank until 1989, as well as his own episodes of some other game shows that were taped at the NBC Studios in the 1970s and 80s. Corwin was also the associate director of a number of Sony Pictures Studios episodes of Wheel until Dick Carson left the show. Corwin was later replaced as Wheel's director by former associate director Bob Cisneros, who had worked at CBS Television City in the past as a stage manager for his own episodes of 80s and 90s game shows taped at Television City itself.
